Safflower Certified Organic Oil

Description

Organic Safflower Oil is believed to be an excellent oil for skincare as it is rich in essential fatty acids and natural antioxidants. It is packed full of Linoleic Acid (Omega-6) which make it particularly suitable for oily/blemished skin. Its emollient properties make it an effective moisturiser, hydrating, protecting and nourishing the skin.

Organic Safflower Oil is very light on the skin, with a non-greasy texture and can be absorbed fairly easily when applied to your body. For this reason, it can be often found listed as an ingredient in several skincare and haircare preparations for your everyday beauty routine. Its moisturising and emollient properties make this oil a popular choice in homemade recipes.

Organic Safflower Oil is also known to be beneficial to your hair and scalp and an excellent addition to your hair care regime for shiny and healthy looking hair.

Organic Safflower Oil has a high fatty acid content making it an effective addition to massage oil blends, the oil brings moisturising and lubricating properties that will leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised. It is advisable to blend Safflower Oil with other carrier oils to extend its shelf life.

All vegetable oils and fats are 100% fat and are generally high in calories (on average about 120 calories per tablespoon). Vegetable oils are often used in food preparation for salad dressings, cooking, frying, baking, sauces and marinades. As a general guide, virgin and unrefined oils have more of the oil’s natural flavour and lend themselves well for use in cold dishes. Refined oils generally have longer shelf lives and may have a higher smoke point and therefore be better for high heat cooking, but this varies depending on the type of oil. Each oil has its own distinct flavour and nutrient and Fatty Acid composition, so each oil may be used for different purposes depending on your need.

Certified cruelty free, organic and vegan friendly.

How to Use

Skincare

Use on its own as a moisturiser or can be blended to make your own balms, lotions and serums. Can be used as a gentle and effective cleanser and make-up remover.

Massage

An excellent addition to a massage oil base, blend with your favourite essential oils and another carrier oil for added benefits.

Haircare

Add a few drops to damp hair and comb through. Leave for 45 minutes to an hour. Wash and style as normal. Top tip – begin to lather the shampoo before adding water to help emulsify the oil to enable it to rinse out fully.

Hands and nails

The oil can be rubbed directly on your nails to help them grow stronger.

Beauty Hack

Combine a few drops of Lavender (#102), Chamomile (#134) and Frankincense (#185) to create a luxurious and moisturising massage oil.

As with any new product always conduct a patch test before first use.

Food Use

Spruce up your dishes by adding some oil to your cuisine. This versatile oil can be used in salad dressings, smoothies, pasta dishes, a dip for bread, drizzled over grilled fish or meat, roasted vegetables and many more. It adds flavour and richness.
