Avocado Virgin Certified Organic Oil
Description
It is an all-round oil which is used for skincare, hair conditioning, massage and in aromatherapy.
Avocado Oil is frequently used in the skincare industry; however, it typically prefers the refined version which had fewer therapeutic powers as it has been refined. Our unrefined, virgin oil maintains the wonderous nutrients of this extremely popular fruit. It can be used on its own or combines with other natural and beneficial ingredients to make your own beauty formulations.
Packed with essential fatty acids including Oleic (Omega 9), Palmitic and Linoleic Acids, you can feed your skin with this deeply nourishing oil. Rich in vitamins and minerals, Organic Avocado Virgin Oil is a wonderful choice for mature skin. This super rich oil is highly moisturising and is absorbed by the skin at a medium to slow rate so ideal for use as an overnight facial oil.
Avocado is well known for being beneficial to your hair. Many people use fresh avocados in hair treatments, however if this is not for you, you can still reap the benefits of this amazing fruit by using the virgin oil on your hair treatments instead. Its moisturising properties make our Organic Avocado Virgin Oil an excellent natural hair conditioner, leaving you hair soft, healthy and nourished. Using a couple of drops on damp hair, before styling can help boost shine and tame the frizz.
All vegetable oils and fats are 100% fat and are generally high in calories (on average about 120 calories per tablespoon). Vegetable oils are often used in food preparation for salad dressings, cooking, frying, baking, sauces and marinades. As a general guide, virgin and unrefined oils have more of the oil’s natural flavour and lend themselves well for use in cold dishes. Refined oils generally have longer shelf lives and may have a higher smoke point and therefore be better for high heat cooking, but this varies depending on the type of oil. Each oil has its own distinct flavour and nutrient and Fatty Acid composition, so each oil may be used for different purposes depending on your need.
Certified cruelty free, organic and vegan friendly.
How to Use
Massage
This oil is absorbed well by the skin and can be used on your body and face as a moisturiser. Simply put a few drops of oil on your skin and massage until it’s absorbed.
Skincare
Use a few drops of Organic Avocado Oil on your face before going to bed. Its moisturising powers will leave your skin nourished and hydrated.
Haircare
Avocado Oil penetrates the hair and it can be used as an intensive conditioner. Mix some Olive Oil (#223) and Avocado Oil to make a hair mask. Why not try adding some essential oils for a beautifully scented treatment? Massage into your hair from scalp to tip, cover with a shower cap or towel and leave for at least 30 minutes. Shampoo as normal. Top tip – when washing out an oil based hair treatment, it can be useful to lather the shampoo before adding water, to begin to emulsify the oil to help it rinse out easier.
Beauty Hack
Simply pour a few drops on a cotton pad and use it as an excellent make up remover.
As with any new product always conduct a patch test before first use.
Food Use
Spruce up your dishes by adding some oil to your cuisine. This versatile oil can be used in salad dressings, smoothies, pasta dishes, a dip for bread, drizzled over grilled fish or meat, roasted vegetables and many more. It adds flavour and richness.
